The new policies

The Abu Dhabi Mobility Centre (AD Mobility)  is keen to provide distinctive and high-quality transport services and understands the importance of continuity of its services to various segments of the society under all circumstances.

In line with the vision and directives of Abu Dhabi government and as a key mechanism to ensure continuity of its services, AD Mobility is committed to implementing a robust and integrated Business Continuity Management system to protect its operations from disruption and effectively respond to emergencies & crises.

This business continuity policy applies to all sectors and operations of AD Mobility. Through the implementation of this policy, AD Mobility is committed to:

  • Implement federal and local laws and legislations related to business continuity and compliance with the standards approved by the concerned authorities (NCEMA7000: 2021 & ISO 22301:2019) and achieve the objectives of the AD Mobility Business Continuity Program.
  • Identify business continuity risks, analyse the impacts to AD Mobility facilities, services and ensuring that recovery plans are developed, tested to support continuity of services and to meet the expectations of interested parties.
  • Prepare, respond to emergencies and efficiently support the operations of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Centre and Other government agencies as directed.
  • Provide the necessary specialized training and guidance to enhance the skills of employees and teams to achieve the desired results to fulfil their emergency, crisis and business continuity roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure the continuity of monitoring, reviewing and testing of Business Continuity plans with relevant stakeholder and periodically assess the maturity level of the emergency, crisis and business continuity management system for the purpose of continuous improvement.

AD Mobility shall strive to improve the quality of life in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by providing an environment-friendly public transportation system. AD Mobility will proactively demonstrate commitment to environmental stewardship through the following:

  • Adopting the environmental goals set out in the UAE Vision 2021 and Abu Dhabi Environment Vision 2030.
  • Complying with applicable Federal and Emirate level environmental laws and regulations.
  • Implementing innovative practices and procedures for conserving resources such as energy, water and fuel.
  • Determining aspects of AD Mobility services which can adversely impact environment and implementing effective pollution prevention and waste minimization programs in all transport systems and operations.
  • Developing and maintaining environmental management programs with objectives and targets to minimize its adverse environmental impacts.
  • Providing AD Mobility staff and contractors with the knowledge and tools needed to meet the goals of this policy and to actively participate in efforts to prevent negative environmental impacts.
  • Continually finding new ways to improve environmental performance.
  • Measuring, monitoring, evaluating and reporting progress on the environmental goals internally and externally.

This policy will serve as the framework for setting and reviewing AD Mobility environmental goals, objectives, and targets. An annual review of this policy will take place for its continued suitability.

The Abu Dhabi Mobility Center (AD Mobility) is committed to providing safe and healthy work environments for all its employees and stakeholders including contractors, visitors, users of AD Mobility facilities and services, and the general public.

The AD Mobility affirms its commitment to comply with all occupational safety and health laws and regulations of UAE and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by adopting the following measures:

  • Implementing the Federal and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi OSH laws, decrees and regulations.
  • Participating in development and review of transport regulations, including occupational safety and health regulations aimed at preventing workplace incidents, which could result in injuries and ill health to the people and damage to the property.
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing the program to proactively mitigate and manage the health and safety risks at work and thus prevent harm to the employees and other stakeholders.
  • Developing and executing OSH objectives and programs to bring about positive and lasting improvement in safety and health conditions at AD Mobility facilities and for AD Mobility employees.
  • Creating a culture of safe behavior and occupational health awareness in AD Mobility as well as amongst its’ contractors and service providers.
  • Encouraging employees’ participation by undertaking OSH awareness campaigns and providing feedback mechanisms to allow continual improvement of OSH performance.

As a government entity with the mandate to provide oversight and governance to the transport sector of Abu Dhabi, AD Mobility shall closely work with the transport entities to monitor implementation of OSH laws and regulations to reduce risk to the public by enforcing compliance.

AD Mobility shall make necessary competent resource available to continually improve its OSH performance and oversight functions, in order to contribute positively to create safer and healthier work environments.
This policy shall be circulated widely and shall be reviewed annually for its continued suitability.
